Un clou chasse l'autre.

new sem, new resolutions. i was just thinking about how mentally receding i seem to be. so from now on, i want to:

...be more studious. i always put this on top of my list but i always fail. hehe. i guess i should be..
...be less lazy. haha, i guess i rely too much on talent rather than diligence and discipline.
...be nicer. i should stop making sarcastic remarks and bullying people. i guess i am hurting them although they don't show it.
...be more organized. this one speaks for itself. haha
...stop playing chopsticks/xox/tictactoe/fishballs and talking with alvin, sheila, and marc during chinese class. i'm expecting a not-A on the conduct of my chinese card. boo.
...learn chinese wholeheartedly. hehe
...stop skipping math training. i think i'm already somewhat in good terms with mr ang. haha (hm, maybe not "stop skipping" just.. lessen? hehe)
...stop being paranoid about how ms ang and mrs duran might hate me.
...be friendlier to kids. not going to explain this one :|
...speak up more. i barely recite, and i suck at public speaking. and sometimes, i can't express myself well. like i can't explain my train of thought or something. mr yu says magulo utak ko. hay.
...blog more often. and spend less time in front of the pc. ok, use the pc only when i need to research or blog. he's never online when i'm online anyway. hehe...
...eat less candy. seriously. at this rate, i'll get diabetes before i turn 20.
...stop cramming! should've learned by now. :|
...start studying geometry diligently, to stop getting ridiculous careless mistakes.

yesterday's concert was so funnn. DICHI WATCHED! i didn't believe irene when she told me, but i looked around, and there she was! hahaha

the concert was supposed to start by 5:30, but by 3:00 students, parents, and even yayas were queueing up, since the seats were first-come-first-serve. not wanting to get bad seats (that would have been terrible, i paid good money for this!), i joined the line. it was so hot! cristel was SO red. people's sweaty bodies were sticking with other people's sticky bodies. it was a good thing i was somewhat along the sides of the unordered line, else i would have stunk way before the concert started. :P

by 4:45, the throng of people was finally let in. it was so.. chaotic. the bouncers were to check our bags(to see if there was something that can be used to attack the singers with, like i dunno, sling shots and pea shooters?). i think there were like five of them? so i already let one of them (the one nearest to me) check my bag while the person in front of me was getting hers checked. the dude who checked my bag didn't tell his friends that he already checked mine, so they won't let me pass through. haha, can you imagine? so i had to get my bag checked again, all the while other people were getting past me. hahaha

so, the concert started sixish. while we were waiting, clips that were shown in the program earlier that day were shown over and over, as well as commercials of the sponsors. the audience was shouting and cheering(?), as obviously all of us want to get on with the concert. finally, eva marie poon(the host) appeared onstage, and introduced the opening act. i forgot their band name, i just know all the members came from uno. they performed pretty well, but i don't know any of the songs they played. hehe

after that, there was a long interval before anything else happened. there was a big "AWW" from the audience as the clips were played again. after what seemed like ages, eva marie came up the stage again and introduced a guy.. "do you know my brother richard poon? well, here's the handsome jinno guillermo (is that right?)!" the audience was like "AHHHH! AH-...?" cuz most of us thought she was introducing richard poon. hahaha

so yeah, the jinno dude sang one or two songs (i don't remember, but he sang "fever"). the audience cheered him on, and the people buzzed with excitement.

after he sang, eve marie introduced to us.. spongecola! hooray! they sang a couple of songs, and then yael said, "bakit ang layo niyo? lapit kayo," and went past the gates things in front of the stage. (well it's not verbatim, basta parang ganun) so yeah, a stampede of people rushed to the front. i too went nearer, but i didn't crowd with the people. i found a spot near ms bacuno which was close enough to see yael clearly. yael climbed piggy back on top of somebody (a bouncer? bodyguard? not sure.) since the front was so crowded, people at the back couldn't see him. for a few minutes there i was, singing along (or trying to) and swaying with ms bacuno. then, she suddenly stepped on one of the chairs, and pulled me with her. i was surprised, but it was so cool. :)) so ms bacuno and i stayed and cheered and sang and swayed on top of the chairs for 5 or 6 more songs.

after spongecola's performance, we went back to our seats. jinno was once again asked to sing. the audience was less attentive this time, with murmurs of "i touched yael's hand!" and "he looked at me!". besides, most of us were already tired and out of breath.

the next band that performed was hale. nothing really significant happened here, mexcept that all the people move their chairs forward with them. dichi became seated nearer the stage than me. again, when champ moved a bit closer, people flocked towards the fence-things to shake his hand, say hi, scream in his ear, get a lock of hair... he didn't stay very long though--he soon went upstage again to throw posters to the crowd. irene was able to catch one. i was so near! boo.

after that, jinno sang again. this time, i think only 30% of the people were listening, as almost all of us were already so tired yet so hyped about the two bands, and the remaining people don't know the songs he was singing. jinno proceeded on telling us that we welcomed him warmly (which i think may be a bit sarcastic, because surely he noticed?)

after that, it was callalily's turn to go upstage. the lead singer (kian? kean? keane? keanne?) sucked up to the crowd, saying that of all the schools they have performed in, uno has the prettiest girls (in which i said "grabe, mukhang addict na nga, mambobola pa.. hahaha). the band played their songs (which i don't know a single one of, except maybe the chorus of "magbalik"), and they also sang bits of nobody, the climb, thinking of you, and some other popular songs. i don't know what else happened though, since it was already 9+ and we had to go home.

it was too bad i didn't finish the thing. it was getting boring though, because i really don't know callalily's songs. haha it was a great night altogether though.
